NCS Managing Director, Dave Abernethy, is a highly experienced UK web marketing consultant with years of wide ranging, successful practice as a business consultant, marketing manager and web developer. He has worked with start up, small, medium and large businesses across a range of sectors.
Dave is highly numerate with two maths and statistics degrees plus marketing and business skills developed in a range of B2B and B2C sectors in the UK and overseas.
Business and Marketing Career
Dave's early career in was in UK oil industry retail marketing and distribution. He then worked in Africa for 7 years in a major mining company, moving up to head their internal business consultancy department before returning to the UK to work again in UK marketing.
He was the first national Small Business Marketing Manager for a major UK bank, taking them to the number one position in this marketplace with a strong focus on start up businesses.
After spells in B2C marketing and as a senior branch manager with a range of business customers, he returned to innovative product development and marketing, including launching early internet based services.
In 1999 he went independent as a business, web marketing and PR consultant. In late 2000, he set up NCS and has worked with a range of clients - large and small – as a UK and international web marketing consultant and leading web site development projects.
